I’ve been working on the blanket for about a week this picture was taken on Feb 14th and I had done Jan 1st-15th at this point. I’m getting there! I am really enjoying this more than I thought I would and I am really happy about the colours I chose. Can’t wait to see what it will look like when warmer weather comes along.
Something important that I believe I forgot to mention on my past post, the stitch! I chose to use Single Crochet for my blanket as this is the first one I ever make and therefore, I wanted to keep it simple.
I started the blanket by chaining 250 for the foundation and I used white for this. I will also continue to use white to make a division between the months.
I have to say that I had some trouble at the beginning with changing yarn colors. I had seen a technique where you make a starting loop with the new color and then you incorporate it. I found it a bit complicated. So I went to YouTube to search for other options and fount the one below from Midwestern Moms. So far it has been working great!
I am hoping to finish January this weekend. Wish me luck!
